Demonstration Eligibility


The Demonstration is available for active duty service member’s beneficiaries in the United States and District of Columbia.  Beneficiaries who request participation in the Demonstration must:
  • Be at least 18 months of age
          
  • Be registered in the ECHO
              
  • Have a qualifying diagnosis made by a TRICARE-authorized Primary Care Manager (board certified or board-eligible in behavioral developmental pediatrics, neurodevelopmental pediatrics, pediatric neurology or child psychiatry) or PhD clinical psychologist working primarily with children
              
  • Provide HMHS with the beneficiary’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) or the Individualized Education Program (IEP) documenting that the beneficiary is receiving Early Intervention Services or Special Education.  (If a child is home schooled or enrolled in a private school and not required by State law to have an IEP, the PCM or Specialized ASD Provider must certify that participation in the Demonstration is required.)
Qualifying diagnoses are:
  • Autistic Disorder (AD)
  • Childhood Disintegrative Disorder (CDD)
  • Asperger’s Syndrome (AS)
  • Pervasive Developmental Disorder Not Otherwise Specified (PDDNOS)
