A TRICARE Managed Care Support Contractor since 1995, Humana Government Business partners with the Department of Defense as Humana Military to provide healthcare services to approximately 3 million active duty and retired military and their families in the South Region of the U.S. The company supports 53 Military Treatment Facilities in the states of Arkansas, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas.

PGBA, LLC is Humana Military’s claims processing partner in the South region. PGBA is a fiscal intermediary for the military’s TRICARE health benefits program and is one of the largest subsidiaries of BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina.

URAC Accreditation

As an accrediting organization for healthcare, URAC develops standards with the help of nationwide experts in healthcare —providers, insurers, healthcare organizations, and public interest groups. URAC's accreditation is used to meet state regulatory requirements. URAC was previously known as the Utilization Review Accreditation Commission, but shortened its name to the acronym used today.
