TRICARE authorizes Humana Military to reimburse hospitals for allowed Capital and Direct Medical Education costs, known as CAP DME. Reimbursement is subject to regulations as outlined by TRICARE Reimbursement Manual (TRM).
For requests with 2024 Dates of Service (DOS), and submitted by April 30th, 2025 email this form:
Reimbursement of capital and direct medical education costs (a) to: CAPDME@WPSIC.com.
For requests submitted after April 30th, 2025 email this form: Reimbursement of capital and direct medical education costs (b) to: T5EAST.CAPDME@PGBA.com.
Electronic submissions
To ensure your electronic submission is processed in a timely manner, please confirm you are submitting the information to the correct inbox with your hospital name, Medicare number and fiscal year. To avoid additional delays, please only include applicable Medicare Cost Report pages and do not combine requests.
Mail submissions
TRICARE may ask you to use the letter you received as the coversheet for the information you return. Using the letter as a coversheet allows Humana Military to quickly document and identify hospitals, speeding up the process.
To ensure your request is processed quickly, please send a single correspondence with information regarding a single reimbursement request. If multiple requests or pieces of correspondence are mailed at the same time, they must be divided with coversheets.
