Before joining the TRICARE network, providers must first become TRICARE certified. To do this, please contact PGBA at 1-800-403-3950.
To become a TRICARE Network provider for ValueOptions Federal Services, a TRICARE-certified provider must meet established network criteria and sign a ValueOptions Federal Services Provider Agreement. The entire credentialing process can take more than 90 days. When submitting an application, you can ensure a smooth process when you attach all required information and complete all sections of the application. Return your signed ValueOptions Federal Services Provider Agreement at the same time as the application. You will receive written notification once your application has been approved. It is very important that we have current and accurate demographic information for each individual provider in our network. This information is used to make referrals and to keep you informed of TRICARE program updates. In addition, authorization confirmation will be sent to you via fax. Therefore, it is also important that we have your current fax number on file.
Email communication will give you immediate notification of information. Please remember to notify us of changes to your email address. It is also a good idea to add “firstname.lastname@example.org” to your email address book, to ensure acceptance and receipt of emails.
If a provider does not meet ValueOptions Federal Services criteria for joining the network, he or she may become certified as a Non-Network TRICARE provider.
To become a ValueOptions Federal Services network facility or program, the facility or program must first meet TRICARE’s accreditation requirements. It must be accredited by The Joint Commission (TJC), the Council on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) or Det Norske Veritas (DNV).
If the facility is a Freestanding Psychiatric Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), Residential Treatment Center (RTC) or Freestanding Substance Use Disorder Rehabilitation Facility (SUDRF), then it must also be certified by the TRICARE Quality Monitoring Contractor (TQMC), KePRO. Current medical malpractice, comprehensive professional, general and/or liability insurance certificates that identify the limits of liability (minimum $1 million per claim; $3 million aggregate), or appropriately funded, actuarially sound self-insurance program are required.

Please allow 30-90 days for review from the time the application is received. You will be notified in writing upon acceptance into the TRICARE network.
TRICARE requires ValueOptions Federal Services to maintain current and accurate demographic information for each facility or program in the network. Contact us about changes related to your facility or program, e.g., a new tax identification number, changes in services offered, or change of ownership. Each facility or program will be notified when updated documents, such as state licenses, insurance, etc., are required.
